Director, Oracle ERP
Summary and Qualifications:
Lead the IT team to build, extend and support Finance and Human Capital Management capabilities globally for multiple Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) business units, building relationships to determine customers’ requirements, expectations and needs, constantly streamlining those into enterprise business processes delivered by the Oracle Cloud platform.
Provide product and program leadership while also having the responsibility of identifying and developing talent within the team.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
Lead, plan and encourage adoption of Oracle Cloud working with CIO, CFO and People and Organization leaders across international MVH business units.
Establish playbooks to onboard and integrate future acquisitions onto the Oracle Cloud ERP.
Maintain deep understanding of Oracle Cloud ERP capabilities and provide product expertise to customers and sponsors at MVH, working to create and maintain a product roadmap that meets the needs of the businesses.
Own Quarterly Business Reviews with Oracle, as well as internal stakeholders and business functions to outline roadmap for platform innovation.
Provide platform and program leadership to the team enabling them to:
Drive innovation through prototyping and testing customer solutions.
Design, develop and implement re-usable data integrations between the Oracle Cloud and other MVH technologies.
Configure and build reports, forms and processes to expand functionality of the system.
- Build and maintain a rigorous testing framework.
Perform user account maintenance, security, configuration, and problem troubleshooting.
Coordinate issue resolution with vendor partners, system integrators and Oracle Support.
Establish and maintain strategies to keep Oracle Cloud current with new releases and capabilities, ensuring compliance with Information Security and Privacy standards.
Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; develop associates as a counselor and coach, providing input and guidance into associate development and ensuring Personal Development Plans (PDP) are current and complete.
Supervise the Manager, Oracle Support, to insure availability of Oracle Cloud ERP capabilities.
Provide regular status reporting to global executive management.
Manage project estimates and budgets including system integrator and vendor work efforts.
Monitor, manage and report on Oracle Cloud licensing and usage by business unit within MVH.
Plan and conduct “Discovery Day” presentations to select vendor partners to deliver projects.

Special Working Conditions:
Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.

Experience, Education and/or Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Minimum of ten years of computer science, business management or similar technical environment.
Leadership role managing Oracle ERP functional and or technical analysts is required.
Proven experience working with and leading global teams is required.
Proven experience leading Software-as-a Service teams to deliver business value is required.
