Salary Range: $69,073 - $94,975 (DOE)
Summary and Qualifications:
The Sr. Analyst, Fleet Strategy is responsible for conducting advanced analysis and producing quality data visualizations that support the appropriate strategic direction of the practice.
The position is responsible for evaluating the causal relationships of existing performance to inform and ensure the continued fiscal health of the practice through appropriate deployment of hospitals and differentiated hospital prototypes.
This position supports practice-wide analytics beyond real estate to identify and explain challenges at many levels of the business.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Prepare and detailed infographics and maps utilizing multiple data sources to support senior-level assessments of market and hospital level strategy.
- Conduct analyses of all existing core hospitals and their associated customer data to identify, interpret, and communicate complex relationships in hospital performance, as well as trade area coverage and potential areas of growth.
- Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reports for use by Real Estate team and other internal partners.
- Recommend and review real estate sites through work with Site Selection Managers that would maximally benefit ongoing field operations while avoiding potential risk issues.
- Assist in the development of predictive models that are produced as the result of identifying the fundamental, underlying interactions of hospital performance and the demographic profiles of the core customer base.
- Maintain hospital site inventory list including historic and real time performance, market strategy direction, feedback from field leadership, and actionable dates.
- Collect and analyze competitor and business partner data to provide in-depth analysis of new market opportunities.
- Utilize data sets from a data warehouse via SQL to support business intelligence activities.
- Develop and maintain vendor-provided service and systems that help support critical business functions.
- Analyze weekly and periodic operating results related to financial results, staffing levels, and productivity.
- Prepare materials for and participate in market strategy discussion with field leadership to maximize effectiveness of new hospital deployment.
- Heavily involved in ad hoc/cross-functional analyses for leadership with relation to operations results, financial data, industry trends, etc.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Geography, Commercial Real Estate, Analytics, or a related field is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Five years of experience in Geography, Real Estate, and/or Spatially Based Analytical Research are required.
- Advanced level Geographic Systems (GIS) skills utilizing a variety of software platforms are required.
- Coding experience with exposure to SQL, R, Python, or similar languages is preferred.
- The ability to effectively produce quality work under tight deadlines and stressful situations is preferred.
