Sr. Manager, Product Marketing - Optimum Wellness Plans

*This role will be based out of our headquarters in Vancouver, WA, with the potential for remote work.*

Summary and Qualifications: 

Manage the daily business functions of the Optimum Wellness Plans product while trouble shooting business issues.

Responsible for establishing OWP objectives for the practice while working to improve processes and outcomes involving OWP’s.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Partner with the Director Strategic Products and Solutions to leverage client insights, develop strategies and identify partnerships to evolve OWP offerings to drive practice growth.
  • Serve as a resource on issues related to OWP’s (i.e., pricing, production, PMRI/PW, education, marketing, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Inside Sales Team, Call Center, Medicine, Commercial and Operations on all OWP planning and initiatives.
  • Develop strategies and tactics which will increase sales (enrollments), retention and profitability of OWP’s.
  • Evaluate OWP’s thru the analysis of medical costs and price information; translating into meaningful conclusions and recommendations for improvement and pricing.
  • Support Operations with acquisition strategy by assisting with the closure of any programs in direct competition with OWP’s and by providing OWP training and education support.
  • Develop effective communications with Central Team Support, Field Leadership and Hospital Associates to understanding and prioritizing of OWP as a key business driver.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial and statistical information to our Hospitals, Field Leadership, CTS, and external customers.
  • Offer guidance and expertise to associates to provide accurate analyses to the practice.
  • Develop and optimize OWP toolkit, reports, databases, and training/education to drive practice growth.
  • Manage a mix of regularly scheduled deliverables and ad hoc responsibilities.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.  
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Business Administration, Business Development (in Healthcare, Insurance, Marketing, or Finance) is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Eight yearsof experience in health care or financial industries in any of the following is required: product management, product development, pricing, or financial analysis.
  • Product marketing, strong communication, organization, problem solving, client service, math, analytical, computer, multi-tasking, and leadership skills are required.
  • Demonstrated experience with cross-functional project management/leadership is required.
  • Experience executing work through large multi-unit national operations with diverse multi-level, multi-discipline field leadership/management is required.
  • Experience with wellness plans and/or similar health care programs is preferred.
  • Understanding of large company/corporation organizational agility is preferred.
