Why This Role Matters:

The VicePresident, Strategy MVHNA isacriticalthoughtpartner to shape thefutureoftheMars VeterinaryHealthstrategy and roadmap.Working closely with Global Leadership team members, NA Banner Presidents, and the Global VP, MVH Strategy &Transformation, this role provides critical external intelligence, strategic thought partnership, and strategy development for the MVH North American region. Thisleader willplay acriticalrole inworkingwith the internaland externalstakeholderssuchas the Petcarestrategy team, externalconsultants toensureengagementinkeystrategydevelopmentactivities.

Additionally, theidealcandidatewillhave exceptionalcollaborationand communicationskills to navigate between strategy developmentandstrategic activation &measurementwithin the Strategy team. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively and influence matrixed and cross-functional teams as well as criticallyassessinterdependenciesacrossmultipleprograms/initiatives,whileadaptingthestrategytotheevolving competitive environment.

You Will: 

StrategyDevelopment &Planning

  • LeadNAstrategydevelopmentandstrategicplanningprocesses(IVCP,AEP)forMVH,supportedbydataand insights from both internal and external sources.

  • Collaborate with the MVH Global Leadership Team and specifically the NA Banner Presidents to set and drive organizationalvision,operationalstrategy,andkey initiatives. Thisrolewillsupportoverallstrategydevelopment and priority strategy deep dives across NA banners in partnership with banner Presidents.

  • Partnerwithkeystakeholders(e.g.,BusinessDevelopment,BannerPresidents,ChiefClientOfficer,etc.)on inorganic strategies / stage papers and new innovation models.

  • Actasasoundingboardforthe MVHVPStrategy&Transformationindecision-making,offeringcriticalinsights and recommendations and as a collaborative cross-regional partner for the MVHE MVH VP Strategy.

Market & Competitive intelligence:

  • Lead competitive intelligence and conduct deep-dive analyses into industry trends and competitive dynamics acrosstheindustryandwithincomparablehealthsystems;providecoverageofearningsreleasesandcompetitive developments

  • PartnerwiththeGlobalPetcareStrategyteamonmarket/categoryforecastsand keydriverstoinformstrategic planning processes

Strategicdeepdives& insights:

  • Leaddeepdiveanalysisacrosshighprioritystrategicquestions toinformkeydecisions,partneringwithcross- functional teams and leadership

Special projects:

  • Support Global MVH VP Strategy & Transformation and MVH Global Leadership team on special Strategy projects (e.g.,evaluationofPetcareecosystemopportunities,MVP/pilotopportunities)andprovideanalyticalandstrategic development support where required

MVHGlobalLeadershipTeamSupport:

  • Supportpreparationofseniorleadershipteampresentationsand workshops

  • Coordinatekey leadershipmeetings&eventsinpartnershipwithCorporate Affairsteams (e.g.,Hubmeetings, workshops,Leaders Summits,etc.),setagendas,trackfollow-ups,andensuremeetingtimeis usedeffectively

  • Preparereports,briefings,presentations,andothermaterialsforexecutive-levelmeetings,Boardpresentations, and external engagements

Your Experience Should Include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, management, or a related field is required. An MBA oradvanced degree is preferred.

  • 8-10yearsofrelevantworkexperiencerequired,ideally instrategy,consulting,orChiefofStaff / leadership role. Previous experience working closely with C-level and/or global executives is preferred.

  • Experiencewithhealthcareandscientificsectorspreferred.

Salary:$241,500- $377,344 ​
