Vice President, Talent Acquisition

Summary and Qualifications: A key business partner and strategist who can lead the Talent Acquisition function for Banfield; including the design and development of Talent Acquisition strategies aligned to business growth trajectory. Lead the function to deliver against the hiring demands and remain one step ahead through proactive modeling for hiring projection. A proactive and strategic thinker who can partner with the People Analytics team on workforce planning and establish relationships with business, finance and HR leaders to forecast hiring needs accurately. Essential Responsibilities and Tasks: Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team. Develop and execute recruiting resourcing strategy to match high volume needs and timeline associated; explore new and effective resourcing models and combination of contractor and full-time associates to deliver need of business. Coach, resource, and lead a team of full-time associates and contractors responsible for researching, sourcing, evaluating and selecting talent at all levels. Develop and build a team in alignment with Banfield 's hiring strategy & open to flex as demand changes over time. Serve as best practice/quality resource. Raise awareness of latest functional developments and contribute towards strategy and policy development to ensure delivery for the business. Bring expertise and outside-in ' thinking from veterinary and healthcare industry recruitment, with heightened awareness of competition, policies, strategy in industry recruitment. Act as a skilled influencer and trusted partner, communicating complex messages to others. Apply standard work in defining, measuring, reporting & resolving performance via key performance metrics for the function. Build standard work with learning & lessons learned over time. Must be confident in explaining data/using data to drive improvement in standards. Lead others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization. Use multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision. Provide overall leadership to Banfield 's Human Resources function, delivering coaching, mentoring and development opportunities, communicating proactively, and ensuring HR team engagement & retention. Act as a partner and advisor to Sr. Vice President P&O, leading cross-functional teams as required to implement key initiatives for benefit of greater organization. Other job duties as assigned. Special Working Conditions: Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.   Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment. The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate. Environment where pets are present. Experience, Education and/or Training: Bachelor 's degree in Business, Human Resources Management or a related field is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 15 years of executive level recruiting experience in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture are required. Demonstrated success in attracting, assessing, and recruiting top executive leadership talent for healthcare, veterinary, retail or consumer product services organizations is required.
