Overview/Purpose:
As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Senior Manager you will be at the forefront of driving strategic financial insights, supporting long-term business planning, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. You will play a key role in shaping financial strategies, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership, and influencing business decisions that enhance the overall performance of the company. This position requires a deep understanding of finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex, global financial landscapes.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of strategic financial plans, aligning financial goals with the company's long-term vision and objectives.
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks that may impact strategic initiatives and business performance.
Partner with senior leadership to develop business strategies and provide financial insights that support key decision-making processes.
Manage the long-term financial planning process, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis, ensuring alignment with overall corporate strategy.
Create and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate business opportunities, investments, and strategic projects.
Provide recommendations to optimize capital allocation and operational efficiency, balancing long-term growth with short-term performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT) to provide financial guidance and ensure effective execution of strategic plans.
Prepare and present executive-level reports that communicate key financial insights, performance against strategic objectives, and potential financial risks or opportunities.
Support M&A activity and other strategic initiatives by conducting financial due diligence, valuation, and integration planning.
Analyze global financial performance, highlighting areas of improvement, and work with regional teams to implement corrective actions or improvements.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with strategic goals, ensuring effective tracking of progress towards organizational targets.
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and reporting to enhance the strategic decision-making framework across the business.
Provide thought leadership on emerging trends, economic conditions, and market dynamics that could impact the organization’s financial strategy.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
An MBA or advanced finance certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
7+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, with a significant focus on strategic finance roles and experience in a global organization.
Expertise in short-term and long-term financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, including experience with financial modeling and scenario planning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically, entrepreneurial mindset, and translate data into actionable insights.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and FP&A tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial concepts to senior leadership and non-financial stakeholders.
Experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital allocation, and investment analysis.
Strong project management skills with the ability to drive multiple initiatives and manage competing priorities.
Deep understanding of key business drivers across multiple functions and the ability to influence business outcomes.
High attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality financial analysis and recommendations.
Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse set of priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred:
MBA or advanced finance certification (e.g. CFA, CPA)
Experience in a global, multi-national organization with a deep understanding of international finance and cross-border financial management.
Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan) and the ability to visualize financial data.
Familiarity with financial consolidation systems and processes.
Context/Scope:
Pivotal role in global financial management, operating at the intersection of corporate strategy, financial performance, and decision-making. This role will focus on supporting multinational business units with diverse revenue streams, complex market dynamics, and operational footprints across various geographies. With heightened focus to unify across the North American and International regional segments.
The role will focus on supporting key strategic focus topics, reporting and planning system integration globally, process alignment, refinement and efficiency focus in close partnership with Global Leadership Team, Business unit finance organization(s) and Petcare/Corporate finance teams.
Salary: $118,000 - $178,000/year
