Salary Range: $67,725 - $82,063(DOE)
Summary and Qualifications:
Assist in all payroll systems related responsibilities such as payroll imports, exports, and data interfaces in Workday and UKG Unite.
Work on assigned projects related to systems implementation and upgrades.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Complete payroll system interfaces between Unite and Workday.
- Assist payroll coordinators with pay entry imports from various teams such as additional earnings, HSA, expense reimbursements, etc., and correct critical errors, when necessary, in preparation for payroll transmission, ensuring all payroll processing deadlines are met.
- Monitor payroll system issues submitted to the Payroll Systems team, working closely to rectify issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper reporting is in place to assist payroll coordinators and hospital leaders in auditing timesheets and other payroll related data.
- Assist in all aspects of project management during payroll systems upgrades, enhancements and implementation including UAT, creation of test scripts and review/approval of test results.
- Subject matter resource for all payroll systems and applications, taking lead in recommending process improvements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of payroll processes and procedures, ensuring all training materials are current and available to end users.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Three years of experience in Payroll and Time & Attendance systems are required.
- Experience in payroll system implementations with a good understanding of ERP systems and data interfaces is required.
- Excellent Excel skills are required.
- Proficiency in UKG Dimensions and Workday is preferred.
- Experience with large (10,000+ employees) multi-state, bi-weekly payroll process with demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills is preferred.
- Healthcare background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
