Role Purpose
Act as a strategic partner to functional leaders, applying deep expertise in people strategies to shape and execute business initiatives. Lead the successful delivery of targeted change efforts while cultivating a culture rooted in our Five Principles.
Drive initiatives critical to the function’s success by energizing our unique culture, building a high-performing organization, and championing associate engagement, and holistic well-being. Collaborate across teams to elevate associate performance and potential through organizational development, change leadership, talent acquisition, succession and development planning, and learning and development strategies.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Model and embed the Five Principles of Mars, Inc., fostering a values-driven culture within the team and organization.
- Shape roles and responsibilities to drive associate engagement through education, in-person training, and leadership influence.
- Deliver expert coaching and strategic consultation to functional leaders on organizational design, including structure, process, and workforce planning.
- Train and guide business leaders in the execution of People & Organization (P&O) policies and practices, promoting effective change management, high performance collaboration, and succession planning.
- Facilitate key Mars Signature Processes such as PDP, MDR, Talent Reviews, and Associate Engagement, ensuring consistent and impactful execution.
- Support talent development and succession strategies by helping leaders leverage tools and systems to build long-term capability.
- Partner with Centers of Excellence and business stakeholders to deliver aligned, flexible HR solutions tailored to functional needs.
- Lead onboarding and integration efforts for new associates and people leaders, providing structured support through their first 90 days.
- Ensure accuracy of organizational data, maintaining integrity in leadership reporting and workforce structure.
- Use HR systems and data analytics to guide decisions in org design and identify workforce trends.
- Act as a strategic steward of human capital, collaborating with leadership and Finance to anticipate resource needs and align talent with business priorities.

Special Working Conditions:
- Hybrid role, working from Hub location 3x a week.
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration is required.
- HR Training or Certification (SPHR or SHRM-SCP)P is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist or related role, with demonstrated growth in scope and responsibility.
- In-depth knowledge of Talent and Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Team Effectiveness, Organizational Design and Development, and Change Management.
- Strong proficiency in facilitation and coaching, with the ability to influence and support leaders across functions.
- Headquarters and/or multi-functional experience required, with a proven track record of operating effectively in complex, matrixed environments.

The pay range for this role is
$118,796.00 - $163,343.74 Annual
