Role Purpose
The Senior Director, Vendor Management Office works with all banners and functions globally. The role is responsible for the strategic relationship management of critical MVH outsourced vendors/partners, ensuring transformation, innovation as well as operational service (SLA / KPI / CX) commitments are met. The Senior Director, Vendor Management Office also ensures invoicing, rebates and penalties are applied and allocated, as well as collaborating with the Global Commercial, Legal and Digital & Technology teams on vendor or contract changes. Better vendor relationships benefit MVH financially, operationally and ensure supply chain resiliency and sustainability.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Develop MVH outsourced vendor management methodology, including vision, operating model, organization structure, roles and responsibilities, governance model, ways of working and value generation. Role model for “United in Care” culture, ensuring services are provided and improved globally.
- Work with multiple functional and banner leaders as well as project teams to design multi-year implementation and operational plans for critical outsourced services. Leads projects of significant complexity & scope across functions. As a member of the senior leadership team, responsible for multi-function alignment, risk identification and mitigation, investment and implementation program to meet MVH goals.

Special Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Technology, Data Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Change Management and Project Management training is preferred.
- 15+ years of related work experience is required.
- Experience working in a complex global environment.
- Successfully managed large, outsourced vendors: relationship building, contracting, transformation, innovation, operation and governance.
- Built networks and resiliently manages conflicts, focused on mutuality.
- Think strategically and breaks deliverable into realistic deliverables.
- Previous healthcare/veterinary experience is required.
Salary range: $169,371 - $254,057
