This will be a hybrid position based out of the Banfield Pet Hospital headquarters in Vancouver, WA.
Salary Range: $75,029 - $103,165 (based on experience & location)
Summary and Qualifications:
Deploy the strategies to source active and passive candidates for veterinary hiring with direct sourcing methods, leveraging technology, networking, and recruiting best practices.
Proactively source qualified candidates to fill all open positions, reducing time to fill and increasing quality of the applicant pool.
Mentor and coach sourcing specialists, and leverage innovated strategies to ensure a top talent funnel for positions at Banfield.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Lead strategies to source active and passive candidates with direct sourcing methods, leveraging current technologies, networking and recruiting best practices. Identify, cultivate and pipeline quality and diverse leads of candidate pools for doctor vacancies across the practice.
- Execute sourcing campaigns and outreach per sourcing strategies, driving increased weekly lead outcomes.
- Lead the sourcing team in the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures for recruitment, testing, selection and hiring process for new associates.
- Meet established submitted leads targets, manage stakeholder partnerships and interact with key leaders in Talent Acquisition to drive continuous improvement via measurement tools, scorecards and sourcing analytics.
- Present Banfield as an employer of choice during all candidate communications.
- Communicate effectively with TA leadership regarding day-to-day sourcing operations.
- Ensure effective and efficient lead generation for doctor, vet tech and Central Team Support sourcing through calling, texting, emailing and leveraging other AI technologies.
- Provide input on revisions, upgrades, technology and process enhancements for Banfield’s career center, ATS and CRM, that would improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Present sourcing trends, market knowledge, competitive research, and candidate lead generation insights to Talent Acquisition.
- Maintain and update multiple applicant-tracking database.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 25 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- At least three years of experience in a formal Sourcing role are required (five years preferred), with demonstrated success in a high-volume recruitment position, business understanding and personal organization.
- Experience conducting deep dive candidate searches using a variety of search techniques to include complex Boolean searches, flip searches, x-ray searches and reverse searches, utilizing short and long-term sourcing visions is required.
- Experience with email and texting marketing campaigns is required.
- Experience with an ATS and CRM is required.
- Healthcare background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
